Patriots vs. Seahawks

December 7th

Third west coast city and we visit the "Emerald" city of Seattle. Weather permitting on your arrival majestic Mt. Rainer towering some 14,410 feet welcomes you to the scenic state of Washington. South of Seattle and sometimes visible on departures Mt. St. Helens became a household name in 1980 when it blew its top. The area has a number of dormant volcanoes that are visible arriving and departing Seattle. Puget sound is traversed by ferries with views of The Olympic and Cascade Mountains. Speaking of heights...Seattle Space Needle built in 1962 for the World Fair towers 520 feet above the city. It features an observation deck and a 360 degree revolving restaurant. Washington is second in the production of wines and a 1/2 day tour to Woodinville just 20 miles away will give you an opportunity to sample some of the best wines. Locally, you can't by pass the Pike Market area, with over 200 local business and farmers market featuring "flying fish", fresh fruit, veggies, cheese, honey and local wines. One of my favorite restaurants can be found here, CUTTERS BAYHOUSE...the best salmon you will ever have. Chances are that you flew into Seattle on a Boeing Jetliner that was built here in Seattle. Tours are available and you need to contact Boeing directly. Our accommodations are located in the heart of downtown Seattle at the Red Lion Inn. Check out this fine hotel at www.redlion5thavenue.com.
